Father’s Day, occurs annually and is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in June. Sonora Smart Dodd first thought of the idea for Father's Day while listening to a Mother's Day sermon in 1909.

It is a day set apart to honour and celebrate fatherhood, just as Mother's Day celebrates motherhood. It is a day to not only honor your father, but all men in your life, who have acted as a father figure - Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or "Big Brothers."
